Why does my c9 trips my circuit breaker?
I have christmas lights in my front yard, flowerbed, and various trees in my yard. My light show goes on without any problems. It is only until recently when I decided to add several strings of c9 lights around the border of my lawn that I experienced power shutoff; breaker in my garage went off. On my leftside of the house, I have four strings of lights but they are separated by using two separate cords since I can only attach 2 strings together. NOW here comes the problem when I plug in the other 6 strings of lights, separated every 3 strings of lights by a cord however; power goes off, breaker goes off. I am using a total of 3 different outlets all around my house to plug these lights in so I'm not sure why my power goes off when I plug in all 10 sets of lights even though I'm distributing the wattage. Please HELP!

The breaker that trips is still probably overloaded or there is a ground fault, since these xmas lights should be plugged into a GFI protected receptacle.

Someone needs to measure the amp draw on this circuit to determine if overload is the issue, or troubleshoot a ground fault.

We cannot help since we do not know what the total wattage is of the strings of lights.
