How do you apply for a diversion in Ontario?
I was arrested for a few weeks ago for theft under $5000...
I have been researching and I am eligible for the diversion program... I have been pretty freaked out about the whole situation so I have been trying to find out how to apply for a diversion, but no where does it actually say how to (do I go to my court date and ask? Or apply online or in the building beforehand? Etc.. )

I would really appreciate some answers as I really would like to get through this with the least amount of damage possible.

I'm 18, it was $9 makeup at Walmart,my first offence and run in with police.
    PLEASE HELP!
