Duct placement at ceiling on outside wall
I have a very large room with many windows and a 10 foot ceiling. My contractor want to put the forced air registers at the ceiling over the windows. Will this heat reach down to the floor area where most of the heat will be needed?

No; heat rises, and with 10' ceilings you won't even feel the heat. In the floor, insulated. Why isn't this an option?
