So I live with my dad and everything is fine, like he has never abused me or beat me or talked bad to me, I just would like to live with my mom because I never see her and she is everything to me... My dad has custody, can he stop me, I mean I am 17?

Hey I have never been in your position before but I sympathise and the only thing I can say that I think might be good advice is relax. Your mom might mean a lot to you but your Dad is only watching out for you. If you really miss her I think you should talk to your dad and try and explain to him you love him but you also love your mom too. Take baby steps in this case try and ask for just having the occasional visit to your mother. :) hope this helps x

Yes you are 17, but that's not 18. Until you are 18, you don't get to decide with which parent you will live. So as long as your father has custody, you can't just up and move.

If Mom wants custody, she has to file for a modification of the custody order in court. But when will you turn 18? At that point you CAN decide.

And while things may be different, why does dad have custody? But no at 17 you have to live where the court order says.
