    Can I file for abandonment on my husband in ga
    My husband left me and our two children in aug. For one month now he has not sent any money for his children. He stated that since I have the children I can do it. Can't I file abandonment on him?

    In Georgia, you can file if you have a court order for child support and he is behind on that.

    So when he left, have you went to court and filed for custody and filed for support?

    In GA, failure to support your children is a criminal offense and can be prosecuted as abandonment. So you can check with your local prosecutor about filing charges.

    Have you gone to court for support?
