What causes short breaths?
I have been having short breath for about a year now.talking has also become a big challenge,which lead me into a"bad mood" for lack of better terms. It all started when I was giving birth to my second born son,I just felt a very sharp pain in my chest on my left side,the problem is I was not medically examined at the hospital where I delivered.I thought it would eventually go away but no! Am worried,could it be a heart problem? I still have not had any medical opinion.

Usually short of breath is related to a heart condition. I am surprised that your doctor was not monitoring, and I am glad you got through your pregnancy and delivered peacefully without mishap. Please see your doctor for a complete physical as I see you are in central or rather south Africa.
