How to get 240v out of a generator?
Hi, I have a Miller thunderbolt welder machine that has a 3-prong male and I need to hook it to a 4-prongs receptacle on a 5500w generator so I can have the 240v. Can anybody help?

    Thanks,

Get a 4 prong male plug to match the receptacle.

Be sure the voltage and amperage rating of the new plug matches the power source.

The 3 wire welder plug should have only two live and one ground, while the 4 prong will also have a neutral that the welder does not need.
