I had unprotected sex about 10 days ago but, got my period about 4 days ago with a heavy flow but, now that my period is almost finished I have really bad stomach cramps which I have never had before can I still be pregnant?

The possibility of pregnancy is always there if you have had sex, but given the amount of time between the intercourse and the menstruation your chances are lowered, but it's not unheard of.

So, yes, you can still be pregnant, but the percentage is not as great.

If you are not ready to become a mother, please use birth control. However, birth control is not always 100% effective. The only 100% effective form of birth control is abstinence.

You will really need to wait till the next period to be 100 percent sure. It is not unheard of, but not normal. I would say it is really unlikely you are pregnant, but you will have to wait another month just to be sure.

I wish I could give you a percentage. The best I can do is that approximately 85% of women who have unprotected sex get pregnant. That percentage varies dependent on a number of factors.

The best thing you can do right now is to wait until you are due for your next period to see whether it comes. I know that's not what you want to hear, and I know that's scary advice. But at this point in time, without doing specific lab tests (which I cannot do over the internet), that's the best advice I can give.

As J_9 mentioned, there is about an 85% chance that a woman having unprotected sex will become pregnant in the first year. For any given cycle, there is roughly a 20% chance of becoming pregnant.

Best to not engage in sex until you are in a position to have and raise a child. If you choose to continue, consider using two forms of birth control, correctly and consistently, to lessen your odds even more.
