Fridgedair front load washer FWT647GHS0 spin noise and banging
Washer suddenly developed a very loud banging when the fast spin cycle cranks up. Took some clothers out and was somewhat better. Tried it empty and it develops a rhythmic thumping sound that builds as the speed increases, becomes fairly loud and rhythmic. Also it has been making soft thumping sounds for months when spin drying and was becoming a hammering sound.

Sounds like the drum itself it not balanced anymore. You should take precautions and have a tech look at the bearings/pulley and transmission system.
