    Flooded apartment
All right so I need to know if apartment complexes are responsible for floods that occur due to bad piping? I had a small leak, call the leasing office to come and fix, they called creative multicare plumbers to come fix and the next morning my place was flooded. My personal belongings were damaged and I have no renters insusrance. Should I be responsible for this?

No! If the leak was caused by shoddy workmanship then you have a case against them plumbing company. They should have insurgence to cover an damaged property. Also the leak should be repaired under warrantee at no cost to you. Good luck, Tom

Tenants should not have to go after the companies doing the work. The landlord is responsible.

    Hi Joy,
While the landlord should contact the company to repair the leak the tenants will have to contact them about personal property damage and make a claim to their insurance company. Cheers, Tom
