Since a minor can't legally sign a contract, which is what a lease is, the answer is no.

The type of landlord that would allow a 16 year old to rent their property is NOT the kind of landlord that a 16 year old should be renting from. There are unscrupulous landlords that are desperate enough that they will rent to anyone.

Very few and far between would.. the only thing you might be able to find is something from a landlord that does not care if the ceiling falls on you.

Parents driving you nuts? Want to move out? Save your money and get a job. Already have a job and they are still driving you nuts? Get Two jobs. 16 is not a legal age to do much of anything but Work and open an savings account you will be glad you did.

You cannot rent a place. If you don't want to live under your parents rules become emanciptated

Most 16 year olds are able to rent, renters cannot discriminate against the person. Aslong as your able to pay the rent and for any damages made then its allowed, but only in some areas. Im 16 and renting a $200 unit, me and my girlfriend pay half each and for the gas and such. Everyone who says you cant, your wrong sorry.
