    Gas furnace reset switch
I called a service co. as my pilot light was out on my 20 year old Goodman furnace. They replaced the thermocouple, and the pilot would still not hold. They replaced the gas valve, and the pilot held. The following morning, the furnace would not turn on. The service co. returned, and said the reset switch had tripped because the burner flames were strong and coming out too far. Now the reset button is getting tripped every time the furnace comes on. I am not interested in resetting the furnace at 2 am when the temps get colder. Is it possible that the gas valve is not compatible with my furnace?
