Kitchen faucet leaks from the bonnet (Kohler K-10412)
    Quoting terph8r:
    Use the schematic here:

    Kohler Plumbing

    The disassembly is pretty straightforward:

    1. Remove the handle by exposing the allen socket in the back and unscrewing the screw that holds the handle in place.

    2. Lift up part 1003662.

***I'm stuck on the "Lift up part 1003662." I can lift it or pry it off. I've gotten a screwdriver wedged in the seam to try lifting it up but no success. There are no notches to screw it.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

For me it just lifted. Sounds like yours might just need some WD-40 to loosen it up. Maybe you have mineral deposits in there from hard water?

Hi Joson and Terph welcome to the Plumbing Page at AskMeHelpDesk.com. You piggybacked on an a 2 year old dead thread so I gave you one of your own. In the future, before you post look in the upper left hand corner for the date. Thanks, Tom

It wasn't dead. It was just idle for a while. The current question was relevant to the old thread. Breaking this out is silly. Also, the old thread has high Google ranks.

    Terph,
You're new here. We have our own way of doing things. Sorry if it doesn't agree with how you think things should be run but a dead thread is a dead thread. If you wish to research and learn from it , great but when we see clutter we clean it up. If you wish to use someone else thoughts and solutions fine and dandy but any thread I find that isn't current will be deleted as cluttering up the page. Are things a little clearer now? Regards, Tom

Fair enough. I disagree but as you noted, I'm not in charge. Carry on.
