My last two periods were late but was normal. But this month when my period was due I had light pink spotting followed by a brown discharge and then nothing. I am now 13 days late and have had a negative pregnancy test. I've been bloated and have has an excessive amount of gas and my appetite is bigger. I have been having a period every month since I was 8 except when I got pregnant with my two children. I have no diseases and I am not stressed! What could be the cause of this if I'm not pregnant?

Changes in hormones could be a possibility. May I ask how old you are? Do you currently use any type of hormonal birth control?

For some women it can take several weeks before a positive shows on a urine test. You could wait and see what happens when your next period is due, or perhaps see your doctor if you continue to feel you may be experiencing other possible signs of pregnancy.

I am 27 and I am not on any birth control. With my first two pregnancies my test didn't show positive until two weeks after my missed period. But I didn't spot or have any kind of discharge with those pregnancies.

Was it a home pregnancy test or did you go to the doctors ? But for the sounds of you having excessive gas and have a huge appitite . You should go have a stool sample . You might have a worms in your intestence.. it depsnds on witch kind of worm but it more common then people are even aware of parrisites and worms . What happens is you be very hungry cause worms will be eating out you nutrients from the food.and the gas coms from the dead worms which they only live for so long then die but in the intestence the multiply.. you will eventually pass out those without knowing, I do think you should insist that your doctor take a stool sample to be on the safe side.. you know its weird how when were ill or something they never suggest a stool sample but damn if out pet is ill the vet , that's the first thing they ask for.. let us know if you figure it out and that everythings fine with you :)
