    Husband with depression
Does anyone have any experience with a spouse that deals with depression? My husband has issues with depression and has always been on meds. Over the years they have changed the prescriptions here and there. We have gone through a couple of blowups over the years where he is unhappy with us and feels like he needs to work on himself. We just had this blowup today and it's killing me. He is looking for a little space to work on himself. Has anyone gone through these types of issues before? What type of support should I be giving?

His psychiatrist should have referred him for counseling to take place once or twice a week (with you included from time to time). Then he would learn how to set short- and long-term goals and be accountable to his therapist in getting them met.
