How can I get out of my lease in Wisconsin?
I have made my first mistake when moving in and not documenting damages to the apartment. We moved during the hotest weekend and we had no screenn on our windwos, the kitchen sink leaked and the stove (gas) did not fully work like only 2 burners worked and that was if my boyfriend lighted them by hand. I called and told my landords wife about this... she droped off a old dirty screen that did not even fit mind you we had 3 windows without screen she said she made the skink tighter by hand and her husband would be over for the stove when he got back from out of town. That never happened no one ever called. One day he sent me a text early oct. asking if he could come over and light our gas heater for the winter, I texted him back saying no not today my boyfriend was home very sick and that is what I told him. I got home a few hours later tne stove was lit my boyfriend was not home to my surprise he had went to the dr. the landlord had not called him either. Well if you live in Wisconsin Oct was quite warm and there was no way to turn down the stove so we ended up un pluging it and leaving it without being able to open the windows it was 90 plus degrees in our apartment. The other day I called him and asked him if he could run a add to rent out the apartment, we know if another renter comes about we can be out, he was a total prick to me but he agreed. I told my mom about this and withouth me knowing she called him.. I know my mom should not fight my battles for me but she did, and she told him about the stove so he knows it is not lite. It is now deer hunting season and cold and we have no heat. I don't feel as if I should have to call him again after he has been notified about the stove. I told him we were not staying there any more during the week (we are staying with my parents closer to our new jobs) and he is running a add paper I'm worried he will be quick at answering phone calls etc. I want out!
