I returned home last night from work to my kids home alone while my loser husband decided to go have a drink. I was told if I had called the police, I would have gotten in trouble as well? But I need this documented so when we are fighting over custoday, I have this on him. HELP!

What state is this happening in and how old are the children? Many states do not have a minimum age for them to be left alone.
