    word problem quadratic equation?
    if the product of two consicutive odd intiger is decreased by 3, the result is 12.find the two integer ?
    can someone answer this !

    Two consecutive odd integers mean two integers like 2n-1, 2n+1 (with n integer). Then you multiply them
    (2n-1)(2n+1), and subtract 3. Finally impose this expression=12, solve in n and the odd integers you were looking are 2n-1, 2n+1.
