    Want a baby
My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and I have been off the pill for eight months. We have not had any luck,so if anyone has any ideas that could help us to get pregnant Please help I even tried douching after sex because I heard it would push the sperm farther up. Any idea would be appreciated. Thank you

Huh?? Douching is more like you wash the sperm away then push them up further!!

What you need to do is talk to your Ob/Gyn. 8 months of trying is enough to start getting tested (both of you) and start getting GOOD advice (not old wives tales) about how to get impregnated.

It can take up to 12 months for healthy couples to conceive, before medical intervention is suggested. However ,some cases differ. It depends on your doctor and your medical history. It can take several months for the pill to completely leave your system. I would suggest you visit your ob/gyn and get an exam/check up to make sure that everything is in working order, take any suggestions they might have for you as far as conception goes, and then to relax. Stress can be detering your efforts in trying to conceive. As far as douching after sex, that's probably one of the worst things you can do as far as conception. It washes out the sperm out. I have heard that laying with a pillow under your bum, and making sure you don't stand up for 15 minutes after sex, also trying to orgasm at the same time.also heard that the best position is from a laying position, rather then you on top. But, I doubt any of its been scientifically proven or anything, its just a suggestion from people I know, and I haven't tried it myself, so I couldn't say it works.
