    Baby Hip Dislocated
I own a day home and was changing a baby's bum. I lifted her legs to change clean her bum when I heard a 'pop' sound. She cried for about 3 minutes and settled down. I told the parents about it and when they took her home she wouldn't stop crying. They took her to the clinic and sent them to the hospital for x-rays for hip displacement! My question, is how would a hip dislocate when a leg is lifted? And if it can be popped back into place? I'm freaking out here, I feel HORRIBLE and feel sick about it all!

There could be issues with the baby's connective tissue making it easy to dislocate joints.

I've always been told by my parents, grandparents, and other older relatives, that its very easy to dislocate an infants hips when changing a diaper, and shoulders when dressing them or picking them up. But I'm not POSITIVE on that as its just word of mouth.
