I was on the depo for about four and half years and earlier this year after I gained about 50 lbs me and my mom decided it was best for me to go off it and let my body cleanse itself. It has been eight months since my last shot and I just got my period for the first time. It is so different from my period prior to depo use and extremely painful. Should I expect a long period or continuous bleeding. I have had a child and am familiar with most aspects of everything I am just concerned because I am anemic and not on any birth control now.
