Okay, I have a 95 honda civic ex it was in an accident near the radiator. Nothing was leaking like the coolant and stuff but it would over heat. I had to get it back to my house which was about 45 minutes away from where it was. When I got it back (after a lot of stopping to allow it to cool) it just shut off and hasn't started since. When I try to start it now it doesn't turn over at all. Did I completely burn my engine? Please know that I have a very little bit of knowledge of cars so dumb it down for me if possible! :) thanks!

If you feel it's worth the cost, have it towed to a reputable shop for further hands-on diagnosis.

Your radiator fan may have been damaged causing the over-heating. Over-heating may have caused the engine block to crack, allowing water to get into the oil. Water will break down the oil causing the engine to freeze (seize). Check the oil at the dip stick. If the oil is white-ish or cloudy, the block is cracked and the engine will need to be replaced or rebuilt. Otherwise, there may be other issues such as electrical, etc. have it looked at by a pro, but an engine replacement could set you back $2,000 or more.

The best I can suggest is to put a socket and ratchet on the bolt in the middle of the harmonic ballencer ( the biggest pully at the bottom of the motor where all the fan belts go around ) if you can get the motor to turn, then it is an electrical problem, if not, it's time for a new motor. There should be some resistance, it will take some effort to do it. It should turn either way, though don't turn it far. Quarter turn will tell you. If you have comprehensive insurance, they may pay for a motor if it doesn't total the car, less your deductible of course.
