    Back pain issues
Hi, I've been experiencing back pain for a while now. (On and off for a few months, and very seldom a year ago). Its not terribly bad, just not comfortable. I'm wondering if I should see a doctor, maybe a chiropractor, and what could/would they do?

Each would take a medical history from you and then examine you to find out areas that are sensitive. You would show them how you walk, would bend over, and would lie on a table so that they would find out how your body acts and reacts when in different positions.

Depending on what they figure out so far, you might be told to get x-rays or an MRI to find out if something is wrong or out of place with bones and with soft tissue like nerves and muscles.

You might be shown exercises to do at home, the chiro will adjust your back and get things back in alignment, and the medical doctor might prescribe a muscle relaxant and/or pain pill.

Shiatsu (acupressure) is another option, as is acupuncture. There are specific practitioners who do that.
