How can I achieve this look 're purpose' ceramic owl *pic inside*
    Hi,

I have a ceramic owl lamp mostly beige and shades of dark brown that I want to 're purpose' by spray painting it a glossy white color, I don't want it to be matte or lacquer type finish... how can I achieve this look (pic)? Do I need to spray a primer first? I am a beginner with craft. Is this a difficult project? I need names of specific products I can order through amazon.com or get at a hardware store. Thank you.

    Hi Ty

The pictures appear to be fired on glaze. The owl u described with brown/black coloring sounds like a ceramic stain finish. This is a non fired finish.

To achieve a finish similar to pics the pcs would have to be fired to burn off stain and then glazed and refired.

Any non fired paint will have a tendency to chip.

Well is that something to do at home like a "DIY" project or not? Can't I just use a spray paint primers over it and then spray paint it white with krylon or something like that? Ty
