Hello:

Granger Bloomquist, a noted peace activist, wants all the Democrats to sign a pledge saying they'll NEVER use nukes against ANYBODY. Is it a good idea to take arrows OUT of your quiver?

Same as the pledges both sides take that they will not do this or that after elected. They can pledge all week and do different latter when the public wants it.

Hello Padre:

Granger Bloomquist has the POWER and the MONEY to primary ANYBODY who violates his pledge. He's DONE it before, and he'll DO it again. He DEMANDS total adherence. The entire Democratic party signed the pledge. They're more afraid of HIM than they are the public.

The Dems signed it ? Did the President ?

I keep on hoping the President gets challenged from the left... Where is Kucinich when you need him ?

Pledge means nothing without a consequence as well.

Sort of like the one in place for any lefty that doesn't follow the DNC edicts to the letter.

Where they send a team to come stomp on your scrotum or something to that effect.

I'm joshing... I can't believe you didn't catch me. There is no Granger Bloomquist. There's only Grover Norquist, and you're right.. Why would ANY leader agree to tie his hands?

His tax pledge is just as silly. When asked about him Speaker Bonehead said "he’s just another “random” guy." You don't have to sign a pledge to be against a tax increase and if circumstances change then it's bad politics... just ask GHW Bush.
