A Legal Eviction in CT Fairfield County of Items Stored in my Home
I permitted someone to bring a fews things to store in my garage. She brought a truckload that has been in my home for seven months and she refuses to get them out. How do I legally get her things out of my home

She doesn't live with you, I'm assuming, so this is not an eviction.

Send her a letter, receipt requested, that in 31 days (this is a 30 day notice) you are either putting her belongings in storage and she can pay the storage fees to get them out OR you are throwing them out in that same time frame.

I have been verbally requesting and replying to her texts to remove things from one month after stored. So do I still give her 30 days from today's date? What if she refuses to pick up certified mail? I do not want to store at my expense. And throwing out would still cost me. Would I legally be able to call a center to donate so that they can pick up items?

You need to document your intention to remove the items. So yes you need to send it certified to prove you sent it for your protection.

Many storage places will offer the first month free, so it won't cost you to place it in storage. If she doesn't remove them, then you place them in storage and send her the bill.

You can, instead state that if they are not removed you will have Goodwill come and pick them up.
