Hello I am trying to hook up a programmable Honeywell rtg2300 however I only had 4 wires with my old mercury which are green, yellow, red and black. I tried plugging in just the green, yellow and red and leaving the black one off however my gas heater would not turn it self off and had to unplug it. Then tried plugging the back one into the white slot then the heater would not come on at all. I took off the black wire and just left the green, yellow and red and now the heater will not turn on. I did put my old mercury back on and it works fine. How would I install the Honeywell to get it to work with the red green yellow and back wires
