    Shower problems
When I first started using my showers, they would turn on as normal. Now, When I turn the hot water on and then turn the shower knob to turn the shower on, it does not come on. I turn the shower knob back off and turn it on again... still nothing. After a few more of and on movements, if will finally come on. Sometimes if it comes on it makes a putter sound and the water comes out it spurts. What could be going on?

Sounds like you have a three knob shower valve. (see image). Correct?
Remove the diverter knob and open up the valve. Check the washers and replace if necessary. Check the seats for nicks or rough spots. Now turn the hot and cold back on to flush out the valve. Reassemble and test. Better now? Good luck, nTom
