What is the make and model of the TV? Are you able to pull up the TV's menu?

Are you using a surround sound system? Have you checked the connections?

If you can see the TV's menu, then try different inputs just to be certain. And check the connections. If you still only get sound, try something else that you know for certain works or try your source on another TV.

I am guessing that is from your DVD or console, if that is the case then there is an easy explanation. Basiclly they all connect through 3 ports Red, White and Yellow. I don't remember wich is what but I do know that one of them connect audio, second picture and third I believe is Stereo sound or something. Anyway you should check the connection of thouse to your TV, perhaps you even connected them to the wrong spot. Old TV's have multiple reds and yellows. Also it may be because you are on a wrong channel but it seems unlikely since you are missing only dissplay and not sound.

Yellow is video. White is the left speaker audio, and red is the right speaker. Usually these show up on the TV as a different input, not a different channel. When you connect something (like a VCR) to the TV via a coax cable, then you would need to tune to a specific channel.

I already asked if the OP has checked connections. We still need more information from the OP in order to further assist them.
