Can you get pregnant with an expired iud as mine is 8 months expired which is not my fault as I book 3 appointments n they keep overbooking me. I just worried as these last 2 weeks I've been really ill sickness,backache,tiredness,heartburn and mood swings and had an abnormal period which was 2 days brown discharge and then 5 day very light period, my fiancŽ is really worried about me as in the 4 yrs we ve been together I've never been so ill, yet my docs keep fobbing me off, please can some 1 help thank you

Try a pregnancy test, making sure you follow the directions carefully. Call the office tomorrow and set another appointment. Let them know what you are experiencing and that you need to have an appointment that day to have the IUD removed. Putting you off that long is unacceptable. May I ask what country you live in? If you are feeling that ill, are you able to see another doctor? Is it bad enough for A&E or emergency room?

Hi I'm from england and I can see another doctor any time but after when I went docs 3 days ago they just check my temp heart rate and to see if got water infection nothing else, I've put a complait in about it and think in give it another week and see how I feel in if I feel any worse go to a+e, I've phoned the place to get it removed and I'm in a waiting queue, rediculouse really, all they say is make sure you use other sort of protection, stupid really, I quite worried and a little scared as sick to death of being fobbed off,
