Lights went out in one room
My lights went out in one room in my house, but it was not the breaker. There was a poping sound when the lights went out. There are about eight reccessed lights on a dimmer switch. Please advise what I can do to fix

Dimmer switch may have burned up. Turn the circuit off, and try replacing with a regular switch to see if the lights still work. If so buy a new dimmer switch.
