Hi friends,

After hearing and reading from many that the water, in taps and in handpumps, is impure and can lead you to serious health ailments, I decided and purchased a water purifier, or RO, whatever they call it. It is basically WATER PURIFIER. It contains reverse osmosis system, too. It has certain buttons with certain settings. I switched on all of these. Now, it is since last 20 days that I (say - my family) am using this water. It may be pure. But, it is BITTER. I was hesitant to ask to someone, but when it was too bitter, I asked someone, whom I thought has some knowledge of it, and the answer was, "we are so much used to drinking bad water that when pure water enters our body, it tastes bitter." I swallowed this answered, but could not digest. I started chewing this fact, and yesterday, when I was out of station, I had to buy a pure-water bottle of distilled aqua. It was sweet, so to say, I mean not bitter, at least. Immediately my mind clicked that there must be something wrong at the bottom of my machine. I usually avoid asking questions on this site, and like to give answers so that I could help others, but this problem forced me to ask. So, I ask.

Another question, while purifying the water, it ejects two times water as waste. If you insert three cups of water, you will get one only, with two being shown the DOOR. Why?
