Hi-

I have a problem with my GE side by side fridge (model GSS23QSWA SS) and wondering if someone here can help.

Problems: 1) oftentimes, the fridge would make a moderately loud whirring sound every now and then; 2) has some temperature issues I.e. it regularly did not keep or display approximately equal "set" and "actual" temperatures especially in the frozen side (not sure of this is a control board issue or a impaired or broken internal temperature sensor or whatever); and 3) most recently, the water/ice dispense stopped working though the unit continues to make ice internally – now the light above the various functions (ice, water, crush) just blink briefly and nothing happens).

What's been done: I did change the main control board with a new one but issues 2 and 3 persist. As for the whirring sound, I have not heard it but it has only been 2 days and may be too early to tell.

Any suggestions? Do I need to change the dispenser control board to get the ice/water dispenser going again? Why the variance between the "set" and "actual" temperatures?
