How to find out if I am bondable?
How do I know if I am bondable or not? I was charged with fraud. I was fingerprinted and had my shots taken. I went to court and completed a mental health diversion. Therefore I was not convicted, I completed the diversion program. The people at the court house who helped me complete my diversion program were unable to tell me if I can say that I am bondable on a job application. I do know that the charge does show up on a background check, as I had one done to try to volunteer at my daughter's school (which I cannot due to the check). Now that I am looking for work, I would like to know how to answer this question of being bondable or not.

It's a good question, actually. What they appear to be asking about is this kind of a bond, and probably in particular, a fidelity bond. But actually it's up to the bonding company to decide whether you are an acceptable risk. It's a market decision, not a question that can be answered by reference to any specific law. Whoever designed the application form evidently didn't have a clear understanding of exactly what he or she was asking. The short answer is you don't know unless a bond application has been rejected by every possible source.

You might answer by saying "As far as I know."

Everyone is bondable, the issue is what the cost of the bond.
The federal government has a bonding program for 6 months for felons ( at least they did last year)

The question is really, will the bonding company that is used, will they bond you for the normal rate or charge for this company.

The answer is yes you are bondable, since you are, till you are refused.
