    What can cause standing water in a dish washer after a cycle has completed?

    Two things, the cycle may not really be completed. The timer motor or contacts may have not allowed the cycle to finish. The second problem could be the drain pump has not kicked in. This could be a bad solenoid or even a dead spot on your time.
