She's an attorney with a $70,000 salary. She filled out a form claiming all these expenses including her $250,000 student loan debt from Baylor, which I know are all bogus, putting her at negative $2,700 a month. Would it be better to not settle at mediation to get the chance to go to court to dispute all her claims? She can pretty much put down whatever figures she claims and lies on the form with the mediator.

Debts (such as the student loan debt) are not the same as expenses. As an attorney, she must know this.

Don't skip the mediation. In many jurisdictions, it is mandatory, but in any event, you may learn something.

If she submits such a bogus form, consider making a complaint with whichever body regulates attorneys in her jurisdiction.

So have you hired a private investigator to find any and all of their money ?

Also your attorney ( and you need one) should be laughing at them and telling them, "you know that is not a expense that gets included"

So who cares what she is presenting, you present the facts of what is really happening and then tell them what you will settle for,
