    70's kid's movie
Ok, here we go. This movie came out in the mid-seventies? It reminded me of a Call of the Wild story. All I remember is a kid (young teen) and his dad (?) pioneering in the 1800s and a couple of bandits attack the campsite and kill the dad. The kid escapes but thinks they are native americans because all he saw were feathers sticking out of the theive's hats. He later tries to attack some random native americans by rolling some boulders and rocks down a hill because he thinks they are the ones who killed his dad. They befriend him and help to find the real murderers. And that's about it. I seem to remember he had a dog or wolf with him to help him out... Got any ideas?
