Wow, well, tell us more. How do you know the shooting was unprovoked? The father, the person who killed your son, then shot himself?

What do the police, investigators say about the occurrence?

    Homeowners insurance covering wrongful death??

When did this happen? What year? When?

This happened 8 months ago. There was a witness my sons girlfriend. The father was arguing with his wife ,they were separated. The wife then left her daughter and my son at the house. They tried to leave and the father pulled out a gun. The gun must have been at hand. After my son was shot the girlfriend ran next door and called police and her mother(wife). The wife came back then the father shot himself.

This is actually an interesting possibility. Homeowners insurance generally covers liability for incidents that occur on the homeowners property.

I think the key here is whether the father deliberately shot your son or whether the gun went off by accident. I think if its found to be deliberate the insurance would not cover it.

I would suggest consulting with an attorney. Most will give you a free consult on this. If they think there is a case, they would probably take it on contingency.
