    Evicting tenant
    How do I evict someone who doesn't pay rent when its not my house I am only watching the house until the guy comes home from jail

    First, you shouldn't piggyback your question on another thread, especially a 5 year old one. This can cause confusion so I've moved your post to its own thread.

    You need something in writing from the property owner giving you management of the property. Either a limited Power of Attorney or a management contract.

    Without that, you have no legal standing to file for an eviction. You can issue a vacate notice, but if that's ignored , you have to have standing to go to court.

    If you have given a vacate order and the deadline has expired, you can file as soon as you have legal standing.
