How do I go about filing for a mediation and/custody?
My daughter's father and I had an agreement on trading our baby back and fourth. He's had her for almost a month and he will not bring her to me when he says. I went and filed a police report because he was and still is denying me visitation. All this without court order, just agreements upon parents. I have tried to get him on the phone and no answer. Upon filing the police report they told me I needed to obtain some sort of form. I went to the court house and they told me to file a ex parte. I got the form, but don't know how to fill it out. I wanted to know if I'm going about this the right way?

Finally you are. By not getting things set in court you made this situation. So now you have to file for custody and visitation. An ex parte though may not be the right way, but if that what was suggested go with it.

If you need help completing the form ask specific questions. Also ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.
