What about him? Is he a single too? If the answer is yes, you should tell him how you feel (that you are confused, may be you like him more than just friends). A ten year old friend will understand you better, and he will let you know what can be done.

A friend for ten years might like you but if he doesn't don't beat yourself up over it and if he is a good friend he will understand and everything will be OK.
