Can I feed my dog human food as she won't eat dog food

Actually no. dogs should not be eating human food. Unless it is boiled chicken and rice; It is just too hard on their system. Put the dog food down, she will eat it when she is hungry enough.

To a point, yes, human food is OK. And, like with everything else, it all depends on what you are feeding her. Is candy OK? No. Anything fast food? Definitely not!

Carrots are great for dogs. It fills them up and is a healthy treat, along with green beans. Chicken is easy to digest and helps dogs out when they have an upset stomach.

Domesticated dogs are omnivores. They can eat meat... It matters what you put on the meat. A lot of the sauces that we like, don't mix right with dogs and can get them sick.

Stay away from butter and sugars. Butter can give your dog diarrhea and sugars can make them sick in a lot of ways.

If you want to make your dog happy, I suggest you talk to your vet about the RAW diet or the BARF diet. You can also do your own research on how to feed these diets and how to make them balanced nutritionally. Don't just throw your dog table scraps.

Of course, healthy dogs won't starve themselves either. The RAW and BARF diets can get expensive depending on your dogs size. Get a good quality dog food and give it to your dog and NOTHING else. She'll learn to eat what is given to her. You can also try different types of food. Dog food has become much more than just Kibbles n Bits. There are lots of different brands and formulas out there that your dog might like.

If your dog will not eat dog food tere could be a reason. Check for mouth problems. If its mouth/teeth are hurting crunchy food will not be on the top of your dogs list. If its just the dog being picky if you let it go hungry it will ear. This sounds mean but it's much like making a child sit at the table till it's veggies are gone. However if you have a very stubborn dogs its possible it could get sick before it gives in so get a vet check. If nothings wrong with the dog you can try different dig foods. If it still want eat you can get a list of human friendly dog food recipes on line or from you vet. Many can even be frozen and reheated later. If you have the time and money it may be a good option seeing your dog will LOVE it and it's better for it then most dog food that are full of fillers and byproducts.
