    Pressure of water at the base of a tank placed at 50 m height
    Suppose a water tank ( 1 m height)of 1 m3 volume is placed at a height of 50 m. what will be the pressure of the water if an outlet is taken at the base of the tank.

    The pressure at the base of the tank is dependent on the height of the water in the tank above that point. The formula for the difference in pressure between the surface of the water and depth is:



    where = the density of the water (which you can assume is 1000kg/m^3 for water). Note that it doesn't matter that the tank is mounted 50 meters above the ground - the pressure at its base is the same no matter where it's mounted (within reason). Can you fiinish it from here?
