I work in an assisted living facility, I feel that one of our residents rights have been violated.the resident was recorded by cell doing some personal acts sort of speak. The ladies who recorded this showed another fellow employee, they laughed and joked about it until another employee saw what it was and reported it to our e.d. Its been almost 3 weeks now. Nothing was done by ed. Te lady who reported this act,placed a phone call to her this afternoon and asked why anything hadn't been done with this situation and that she was very disappointed that she was handling a situatuon of such matter this way.the reason things are being handle this way is because someone of statue and a can was involved. The residents family was never contacted. Orther residents rights there has been harmed to. What do we do, because the person you first make these reports is our excecutive director and she is handling things this way what do we do? There is also a girl working there who knows a lot of bad things but scared to talk, she finally made a report and she is suffering retaliation from people over her?

You report the violation to your State's Department of Health, which oversees Nursing Homes.

How do I know? I inspect Nursing Homes and report violations.

You are duty bound to report abuse... and this is abuse.

In addition to what Judy said, I would also report this to the State Board of Nursing.
