Estate Dryer by Whirlpool/Kenmore Elite - Brandsmart
Just purchased a new $300 Estate Gas Dryer from Brandsmart in Atlanta, GA.

Had bought Kenmore Elite Gas Dryer out of the paper, but it never worked right and spent a lot of money on it. It would stop on any cycle. Then it stopped heating up. Appliance repair folks thought it was a defective design: too small a barrel for its capacity.

So instead of throwing good money after bad and having it repaired, I purchased a new dryer from a new appliance dealer that I'd not purchased from before.

I was looking for something economical and purchased the Estate Dryer mentioned above. It seems quite loud and does not seem to get too hot... It does not seem to capture nearly the amount of lint that the Kenmore Elite did, which I guess is a more powerful dryer.

I'm concerned that I may not have made a good choice and I've already let the Kenmore
    Elite go...

    ESTATE (about $300)
    By Whirlpool Dryer
    Model No: EGD4400SQ0
    Serial No: MT405576

Any thoughts about this dryer, the Kenmore Elite or experiences good or bad with Brandsmart.

I've almost never purchased an appliance new and am quite disappointed so far.
    Thanks a lot.

I have made purcahses through Brandsmart and never had a problem. However, when you decide to go "economical" you are giving up something in the area of quality. Unfortunately you may have made a bad choice. Have you tried talking to Brandsmart yet? If you feel your dryer might be defective they may be able to help.

Thank you... It may not be Brandsmart at all, just that I purchased a more economical dryer... I actually found a setting that I'm more happy with... I have 30 days so I will keep trying it out. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

It broke my heart to give up my Kenmore Elite... but I was worried it would require more and more money to repair. I hope I did not make a mistake here.
