    Taxes abroad
I am a Swiss citizen and worked and lived in the US from April 2009 to March 2011. Since April 2011 I am living in Switzerland again. I am married to an US citizen who lives with me in Switzerland. Is my income earned in Switzerland since April 2011 taxable in the US or do I only have to put the January to March 2011 income earned in the US on my US tax return?

My wife will be taxed on the worldwide income since she is a US citizen. Does she have to file as MFJ?

We are thinking about buying real estate. What are the tax implications of a US citizen living, buying and owning real estate abroad?
