    I have a belaire sc626ch and the yellow wire is grounded to the face plate
    And there is a copper wire coming from the ceiling, do I wrap the yellow ground wire around the copper wire to ground it?

    You need to connect the ground wires with a wire connector, in the USA we call them wirenuts, in Canada and Europe they are called marretts.
