Why can't I get my unemployment after collecting my workman's comp now ready for work
I have been on worker's comp and state disablility for the last three years. Now I am able to work part time but unemployment denies my claim. I feel that as long as I am on worker's comp I am still disabled to work and same with state disablility. Now since I am able to go back to work I cannot get my unemployment which I worked for. Can you please tell me why?

Your time to file for unemployement came and went. You can't just file for unemployement three years later and expect to collect. You needed to file for unemployment shortly after being laid off the company (which you said you were not laid off but on worker's comp). And you can't double dip getting worker's comp and unemployement at the same time and working part time.

I have been on workman's comp for the last 10 months. I know when I go back to work, I'll be laid off. Would I be eligible for unemployment benefits, since I haven't worked or had earned income?
