Where are the doors going and what type of "hardwood" are you anticipating using? Hardwood covers Aspen, Poplar, Oak or Teak or others.

I have no idea where you live. By firecheck I will assume you are talking about fire rated doors. In this an entry door in a single home, a condo, a door between house and garage? Please explain where the door will go. Note that to be fire rated, both the door and frame have to be approved. Putting a rated door in a non rated frame is not a rated door.

Fire doors, I mean to say that the doors that may last longer in fire conditions. Are there any standards which have to be followed for these fire check doors? However I live in UK.

They may be required by local code, not sure about UK. They are rated in time, 1 hr, 2hr. etc. I think you will find them quite pricey. I have only seen them between a garage and a house although some local codes are more prohibitive. Check with your local permitting department.
