Can a Notary notarize documents in another state?

Yes provided that they fill in the correct state and county and use the proper notary stamps and seals of the location they are in. Such as State of Florida, County of Broward. And use their own commission stamp and commisson seal of Florida (for instance).

I was a notary in Florida and would routinely notarize out of state paperwork. The notary is only attesting to the fact that the person who appeared before him/her provided the proper picture identification and that they witnessed the person sign the document in front of the notary. The notary is not attesting to the document.

BUT a notary cannot notarize ANY document while they are in another state as that would be outside their state of where they were comissioned. For example if a Florida notary was visiting in New York state cannot notarize ANY documents while in New York State.

Yes, your question is not clear.

If a notary is from Georgia and they are traveling and are in Florida they can not notarize paper work there.

If there is paper work from Florida mailed or brought to Georgia, and they are in GA they may sign it. To witness it.
